Thermal expansion: A high precision double rod differential dilatometer with temperature range -165oC to +650oC.

A research polarizing optic microscope with both heating and cooling stages that cover temperature range from -170oC to +1500oC, with or without application of electric field. It is equipped with CCD video camera and high-resolution digital camera, interfaced with computer through frame grabber and SCSI drives. Various experiments including birefringence measurement, strain-temperature measurement, and domain configuration under bias with temperature can be performed using the microscope.

Powder X-ray Diffractometer, Shimadzu LabX XRD-6000, with PDF2 and JADE Plus.
